Woodside now provides care for 84 people with severe to profound intellectual disabilities on a full-time basis. Our holistic approach continues to include 24-hour nursing care, various forms of therapy, residential care (full-time and respite), as well as rehabilitation and stimulation programmes. Residents originate from all across South Africa. We are incredibly proud of the variety of stimulation therapies that we offer our residents, and many activities involve educational games, developing fine motor skills, and arts and crafts. Items that are needed in our stimulation departments include: A4 Colour Boards (various colours) Scrap paper Non-toxic paint (all colours) Music CDs (various) Plastic table cloths Fisher Price Toys / Gadgets e.g. screws, blocks etc Sensory fidget toys Spiky tactile rings and bands kinetic sand wood glue paint brushes (different sizes) clear all-purpose Bostick blowing bubbles colour pencils a chalk board glitter glue (various colours) Various board games
