More about GREENSLEEVES CHILDRENS TRUST

Greensleeves Children's Trust is a place of safety for orphaned or abandoned children in Brakfontein near East London. We currently have over 100 children in 2025. Our place of safety not only cares for them, we educate them and teach them core values, essential life skills to enable them to grow up to be a generation that will live lives that influence positive change in South Africa Our school starts from babies to Grade 12. We have other alternative classes that are taught for example: baking, bricklaying and permaculture gardening. We are totally off grid and our gardens are giving us vegetables & fruit. On the Farm we have horses, chickens, geese, dogs and a donkey. Children are encouraged to take part in as many extra mural activities as we have which include horse-riding , ball skills, gardening, rugby and soccer. We do not get government funding so rely on sponsors and donations. Volunteers are always welcome to teach the children a new skill or to give reading classes, or to assist with the cooking of meals for the children, We feed them 3 main meals and 2 snacks a day.
