Greensleeves Story

Una is a dream child!! He arrived as a toddler as his Mother had a newborn baby. She went to the hospital saying that the baby was not suckling. When baby was removed from her back, it was discovered that the child had passed the previous day. The mother was intoxicated and had not realized this. Una was removed and came to Greensleeves. he was put into a local rural school, but he eas bullied and teased by both students and teachers. Di made an alternative arrange for him to attend another school, but the same thing happened. Di then decided to open her own school on the farm property and so Fig Tree Independent school started. Una continued to grow and completed his grade 12. He was very keen on the performing arts and so Di enrolled him in Sonwa Drama Academy in East London. Di continues to raise funds for him to continue and supply all black clothing needed and the laptop and transport to get him there daily. Una continues to grow daily and it is encourging to see his self confidence grow. He has been in several local productions and has performed at the Arts Festival in Grahamstown. He is an inpiration to the chiidren of Greensleeves Children's Trust
