We are seeking professionals who are willing to volunteer their time to become mentors to high school learners from Alexandra Township, who attend extra classes every Saturdayat St Mary's School in Waverley. Mentors play a crucial role in providing emotional support, study guidance, career advice, and exposure to different cultures and experiences outside of Alexandra Township. The goal is to empower mentees to reach their full potential and become valuable contributors to society. How You Can Help: If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and have skills and experiences to share, we invite you to join us as a mentor. Your commitment can make a significant impact on the future of these students and their communities. Impact Example: Jabulile Zondo, one of our grade 12 mentees, shared this about the positive impact her mentor had on her life: "I am honestly grateful for the emotional support and everything you have taught me. Even when I was on the edge of giving up, you were there with me. Most of all thanks for being a shoulder to cry on, that was truly a blessing. Last but not least thank you for helping me gain my confidence and become a better person to my society."
