Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

At Africa Food for Thought, we're all about making a positive impact on the lives of families. We team up with preschools, aftercare facilities, schools and individual families in communities that can use a helping hand. Johannesburg has its fair share of problems, especially when it comes to poverty and child malnutrition. But, with your support, we're tackling these big issues head-on. Africa Food for Thought is making sure that more than 2,500 kids get the daily nutrition they need. Through our various projects, we're not just handing out meals; we're dishing out hope, nourishment, and the support these kids need to shine and grow. For the past 15 years we’ve worked on the West Rand of Johannesburg. In that time, we’ve fed tens of thousands of children and supported their schools, teachers and caregivers. In addition to feeding the body, we also feed the mind - our programme is focused on nutrition in support of education. We run book drives throughout the year to build up a love of reading in our children. Please donate any INTERESTING books that are targeted at children from baby to young adult. What this means is, books that look engaging, that a child who doesn't already love reading might want to pick up. Unfortunately old books, informational books that are outdated, or books in very bad condition aren't inviting, and we want to make the kids excited about reading!
