Our 3 Focus Areas are: Children - orphaned and abandoned babies ; Mothers – teen mothers in crisis; Social enterprise. adoption focused Children's and Foster Homes in Melville and Westdene. 113 children since inception in 2011. Our current age range is newborn to 9 years of age. Through adoption advocacy we aim to prepare willing South African and International families / couples / singles for the adoption process and assisting them throughout the process. We will look for adoptive parents for abandoned and orphaned children. Project objectives: To provide care, counselling and education for abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned and homeless children. To provide facilities for the protection and care of children under school-going age of poor and needy parents. To facilitate the placement of abandoned and orphaned children in foster homes or to facilitate their adoption. We successfully operate our ‘Pregnant Mothers in Crisis’ program with a focus on High schools in the Alexandra Township. We have touched the lives of over 3000 mothers already and look after their physical, emotional, spiritual and to a limited extent their financial needs. The aim of these ministries is to, through a ‘holistic’ approach, save lives of destitute , HIV & AIDS infected and affected babies, by first caring for destitute pregnant mothers through counselling in counselling centres, assisting in their immediate care and spiritual needs, to empower them to care for their babies, ministering and assisting them before birth and after. Interventions range from: Counselling; Advise around pregnancy, childbirth, childcare Hosting in women’s shelters with whom we network; Training schemes, including life skills; Job creation and Confidential HIV testing Project Objectives: To rescue and care for people in distress especially pregnant women. To provide health care services to poor and needy persons. To provide care and counselling for the terminally ill and their families. To contribute to the prevention of HIV infection through preventative and education programs relating to HIV/AIDS. To provide care, counselling and treatment for persons affected with HIV/AIDS and to provide counselling for their families. To provide primary health care education, sex education and family planning education Social Enterprise -We have a unique funding model in place where we are able to generate funds to cover 100% of our administrative costs through our Charity Shop(s) as well as the output of our carpentry workshop and sewing workshop. We are extremely committed to Social enterprise as it creates employment in South Africa, funds for the Charity, volunteering opportunities as well as a low-priced outlet for customers from low-income groups. Furthermore we can assure donors that 100% of their support will directly benefit the children in our care as well as mothers in crisis-pregnancy situations. Mission statement: Loving and nurturing orphaned and abandoned children so that they become well-adjusted, productive adults who will be able to contribute to the positive growth of South Africa. Vision statement: South Africa with no orphaned and abandoned children and women who are pregnant against their will.
