More about Patch-Up South Africa
We are committed to transforming the lives of those in need by leading our beneficiaries—recovered substance users, GBVF victims and survivors, at-risk youth, and the unemployed—towards self-sustainable futures. Through skills development opportunities in high-demand areas such as entrepreneurship, agriculture, and technology, we empower them with the tools to build independent lives. Patch-Up Transforma includes training in basic computer skills, mentorship, coaching, and business support to enhance employability and entrepreneurship. To boost employability, we offer on-the-job training as an upskilling tool, ensuring our beneficiaries are well-prepared for real-world challenges. Those who excel in the on-the-job training are offered employment within the organisation or through our partners . For entrepreneurship, we provide classroom training, business planning, and implementation support. Understanding that our target group faces significant challenges, including poverty and past traumas we employ a holistic approach that addresses the multifaceted needs of our communities. This includes provision of healthcare services and continuous psychosocial support to tackle issues such as lack of healthcare knowledge, drug and substance abuse, food insecurity, gender-based violence, compromised physical and mental health, fractured family structures. This ensures the successful implementation of the Patch-Up Transforma program and increases the success rates of our beneficiaries.
