Help WESSA-Wildlife & Environmental Society of South Africa by donating or contributing toward 30 life jackets for young learners
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
At WESSA’s Outdoor Education Centre, we equip young people with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to explore and protect nature. To keep them safe while learning, we need your help to provide 30 life jackets for their canoeing programme. This season, we invite you to help make that vision a reality through WESSA’s Outdoor Education Centre in Mtunzini, KZN. Our goal is simple yet impactful: to raise R65,000 to purchase 30 life jackets that will enable young learners to safely participate in our canoeing programme. These life jackets are not just tools for safety—they’re the key to unlocking hands-on learning about ecosystems like mangroves and dune forests, vital in fighting climate change and sustaining biodiversity Why This Matters • For Youth: Many of these young participants come from underserved communities where access to nature-based education is limited. This programme sparks curiosity and builds confidence, equipping them to become tomorrow’s leaders. • For the Planet: Canoeing through critical ecosystems, learners discover the role of mangroves in carbon sequestration and climate action, creating a personal connection to the fight for our environment. How to Help At just R1,300 per life jacket, your contribution has a tangible, immediate impact.
