More about Yes We Care NPC
Yes We Care is a non-profit organisation that was birthed from the Young Wives Club. Young Wives Club is a group which was founded in 2016 to create a community for young wives to help each other navigate and strengthen marriages to build strong and loving families, and in so doing help build strong and loving communities. As members of the Young Wives Club we officially launched the Yes We Care non-profit organisation (NPO) in August 2023 to create an organisation that formalized the community work that we’ve been doing as a group since 2016. The Yes We Care mission is “to bring hope, healing, and light to marginalized communities one outreach at a time”. Our focus is on ending period poverty, mental health advocacy, and empowerment and upskilling, with a focus on the youth of the communities we work with. Yes We Care outreaches and projects aim to help eradicate unemployment in South Africa, and address key social issues such as period poverty and mental health issues experienced by the youth in marginalized communities. By helping address these issues, the organisation aims to increase the entrepreneurial spirit and self-sufficiency in communities thus increasing their socio-economic status. Additionally, the organisation aims to create and raise youth who are virtuous, confident, responsible, goal-driven, and psychologically secure leaders of their communities and the country.
