Promoting Health is in the heart of WHWC
A success story from the heart...
It is said “a heart is the vital organ of a human being”. A 55 year old female lady came to our mobile clinic complaining about tiredness, headache and weight loss due to loss of appetite. All her vital signs were checked and HIV testing was done by our onsite Community Liaison Officer. Her pulse was weak and low, so she was referred to the nurse clinician who consults the patients, Sr Saracia Fuzile. It was found that she has heart block. Since we struggled to get hold of a government ambulance, we called our WHWC driver to transport the patient to a Hospital for further management. Two weeks later the patient came back to report that her heart problem was confirmed and a pace maker was inserted. She is happy because she is feeling better now and she is no longer spending a lot of money visiting different doctors and traditional healers who couldn’t help her.
