It allows people to give back to the community by offering their skills through teaching children between the ages of six and 18. Various workshops are held every Saturday to encourage more young people to join the foundation. Currently, the foundation supports about 100 children. The soccer division of the foundation was started in 2010 and three different age groups comprising U11, U15 and U20 teams participate in various local football tournaments. The main challenge for the foundation is the lack of materials for its many activities and, therefore, it is calling on the community to assist with donations such as food, office equipment, soccer kits, musical instruments, art materials and study materials for both primary and high school children. The chairperson of the foundation, Godfrey Maruma, said they are currently focusing on the matrics due to the final year examinations taking place. “Many matrics visit us every day for tutor lessons which are held by former matrics,” concluded Maruma.
