TLC as experienced as a volunteer <3
Our resident volunteer caregivers have a very intimate experience of TLC. Laura Brown-Thomas wrote this beautiful poem expressing her experience of staying with us. <3
A cloud of smog, A shower of dust, A thunderstorm of rundown, A sunbeam of heart melts, This is TLC. A quiet chaos, A hive of hustle and bustle, An echo of alarms, A rainbow of Aroha, This is TLC. An eruption of laughter, A resounding wave of kids, A confetti throwing of hugs, An immeasurable ray of joy, This is TLC. A mountain of laundry, A river of milk, A rumbling of tummies, A flood of tears, This is TLC. A scurry of little feet, A summit of diapers, An abundance of bottles, A family filled with love, This is TLC. An endless train of howls, An eerie bleat, A deep echoing moo, A sparkle of cheer, This is TLC. This is love. Founded on hope, Driven by passion, Fueled by love, This is TLC, This is love. Encouraged by kindness, Sparkled by a light in their eyes, And walking by Faith, This is TLC, This is love. Filled with family, Met by supporters who become family, Revitalised by generosity, This is TLC, This is Love. A smiling face, A loving hug, A friendly ear, A place to call home, A place to be loved, A place to give love, This is TLC, This is love, This is home. By Laura Brown-Thomas
