More about The Wellness Centre Trust
The Wellness Centre assists homeless & destitute people back into society by providing ID'S, discipleship, skills development, healing & prayer. Our Vision is to give every homeless and destitute person a second chance in life. Our objective is to ensure that we decrease the number of homeless and destitute people living on the streets in Durban. Our goals are to: Create a sense of identity and encourage destitute people to make smarter decisions through emotional support and counselling. Improve the social and life skills of these people and enable them to earn an income from e.g. manufacturing and crafting goods to sell at markets. Increase the employability of homeless people and enhance their quality of life by developing them into accountable and responsible employees or entrepreneurs Our impact Each homeless and destitute person receives a second chance in life. Beneficiaries receive an Identity Document and learn the relevant life skills through our mentorship programme. The cycle of poverty is broken and their children can enjoy a family with a hope and a future, free from addictions and are able to make better choices. Through the restoration of family values, beneficiaries are less likely to become involved in social ills, and with the skills development courses, unemployed, uneducated people are enabled to earn an income and provide for themselves to become contributing members of the community. Why partner with us?
