PYMA gets profiled in the Trialogue M&E Edition

The participation of PYMA in the Donors Den in 2020 paved way for the later to be profiled by one the biggest CSI Cooperates ( Trialogue) in 2021.As an organisation we are very happy to receive this recognition.

As we continue to implement our programmes at PYMA, we are glad to say that our organisation was profiled in the Trialogue Monitoring and Evaluation Edition. This recognition has also helped us to improve our Monitoring and Evaluation Practices, being able to participate in one of the biggest Trialogue Conferences, increasing our visibility and lastly scooping of the R15 000 Award in the Donors Den. The Trialogue Business in Society Conference is an event that promotes thought leadership, collaboration and innovation for more effective development, with emphasis on the integral role of business in society. The Trialogue Donors Den was themed around good monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices among non-profit organisations (NPOs) working on youth empowerment projects or programmes. Three NPOs including PYMA were selected to pitch and present on how they had monitored and evaluated their youth empowerment programmes and how they intended to use the insights gained to improve their interventions moving forward. Our Executive Director ( Mthandazo Khumalo: PhD) who has a colossal passion for M and E shared with the panel, a detailed overview of the PYMA strategy, the role that M&E plays in the organisation, a view of their insights based on their M&E and the organisation’s response to Covid-19. Khumalo also emphasized that PYMA uses M&E intentionally for the improvement of their programmes and accountability and went on to showcase some of their successes between 2017-2019. After the presentation, our Executive Director became the second winner after being provided with feedback by a panel of corporate, donor and M&E experts from Zenex Foundation, Momentum Metropolitan Foundation and MTN Foundation. As an organisation, we are glad to have participated in this Conference and also having our work being noticed and appreciated by Funders. We also believe that through the support of the Funders, Sponsors and our Partners , we can do more and create lasting impact. We also look forward to the continuous use of proper M and E systems in both our programmes and operations.
