Break the Silence, Break the Cycle

It has been our great pleasure to have received 1 000 GBV packs from the Sanlam group in conjunction with Forgood. Our thanks go out to you guys and all the wonderful volunteers who sacrificed their time to put the items in the packs and assisted us in our efforts to combat the scourge of GBVF within our impoverished communities in the Western Cape. In co-operation with community leaders, schools and religious centres, we managed to distribute all of the packs to our communities, amongst others: Khayelitsha, Du Noon, Phillipi, Delft, Lower Crossroads, Paarl. At the church in Paarl, the children of the Sunday school put on a play concerning GBVF, which carried a very powerful message to the men who commit these heinous crimes. We also had a few GBVF awareness marches in our communities towards the end of last year. Every little bit helps and all involved is very grateful that Forgood and Sanlam decided to assist in our fight against this scourge of GBVF.
