More about National Freedom Network NPC
We are South Africa's network of professionals, small businesses and organisations working against human trafficking. We also act as a Support Centre for our members. The NFN mission is to effectively fight Human Trafficking through strategic networking, partnership and collaboration. We work with multiple role players from NGOs, to Academics and Researchers, to Survivors and the Government. We also represent our Network members on the Government-led National Intersectoral Committee for Trafficking in Persons (NICTIP). Over and above the networking and connecting of role players, we have over the years also filled many gap areas including: emergency victim assistance; meeting needs at the shelters that accommodate and care for those rescued; fund training of social workers and caregivers; providing official training to social workers, immigration officials, labour inspectors, police officials and other Government officials. We created "Unthinkable", a short film to raise awareness of one particular recruitment method for sexual exploitation, and also developed South Africa's Counter-Trafficking Resource Library that brings together available resources for practitioners in the field as well as anyone wishing to know more about Human Trafficking.
