Zullaikah, you shine!

Zullaikah started her involvement and training with NELRU by attending some of our short courses, (Mobile Library Workshops, Baby & Toddler Course and the Basic Educare Course). This motivated her to set-up a child-minding situation at home, working together with the mother. Wanting to further her studies in ECD, Zullaikah enrolled on the NELRU NQF Level 4 Training Course, and she looked for a school where she would be able to obtain Grade R teaching experience. She is currently volunteering in the Grade R class at a Primary School in her area, and her mother runs their child-minding care centre in her absence. Zullaikah shows a lot of dedication and commitment towards her work. She is able to implement the knowledge gained during the training sessions with confidence and enthusiasm. The Principal has recognised her positive approach to the learners and intends to open another Grade R Class, where Zullaikah will be then be appointed as the teacher. We know she will be a great asset to the school. We look forward to continue working with Zullaikah and watching her grow.
