ISO is an HIV and GBVF prevention organisation and registered NPO with a PBO status that uses Capacity, Dialogue, Reflection and Action (CDRA) as their methodology to create a meaningful impact to marginalized communities in the City of Johannesburg. ISO focuses on empowering Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM), including their caregivers, through offering an integrated package of services to ensure that they have access to quality health care services, build their knowledge and self-efficacy. Our methodology ensures that our beneficiaries are capacitated through evidence based interventions that will allow for interaction through dialogues, reflective introspection and the ability to act. HIV and GBVF Prevention is the core of ISO’s programming for AGYW and ABYM and their caregivers. This extends to AGYW’s ability to access non-judgmental sexual and reproductive health services and exercise their rights, break gender conforming and stereotypes, ART uptake and adherence, and combination HIV prevention approach. As part of our strategy to drive social cohesion, ISO will not leave the ABYM behind. In order prevent GBVF, ISO implements an ABYM programme which aims to mentor and coach participants in become champions of change. Our CDRA methodology, as an impact tool for Social and Behavioural Change, which aligns with the stepping stones programme in ensuring the family are strengthened and are able to parent positively.
