More about Community Women Action
Community Women Action is a Non-Profit organization that has been in existence for 25 years. Our Missions is to empower women and youth in Communities through skills development in order to bring about sustainable Change. All of our Intervention Programs are aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals or Global Action Goals as well as African Unions Agenda 2063. The programs we offer are to empower the Vulnerable and Most at Risk groups, i.e: Women and Youth. We believe that through holistic development they will be able to empower themselves and achieve a future for themselves and their families that has never been possible before. Because of the economic climate, many are excluded from opportunities because of access to resources, knowledge and skills deficiencies and limited access to Information. Through our programs, we address these issues by gaining funds from sponsors, donations and partners to offer courses either for free or at a significantly reduced cost. these courses being: - Assistant Chef , N2 Qualification, accredited by CATHSSETA, - Computer Skills , NQF 4 Qualification , Accredited by The University of Western Cape (UWC). - Mobile Technology For Smme's , Accredited by UWC - Digital Entrepreneurship Aside from this we are also engaged in various activities to support youth and young children such as: - Holiday Programs for Children and youth at Risk, In Partnership with the Calvyn Protestant Church.
