SAB partnered with CEEP to assist the social workers with the painting of their offices
SAB partnered with CEEP one Saturday morning to assist with the painting of the social workers offices at Orthandweni Youth Care Centre Soweto. This had not being done in a long time due to a lack of funds and the social workers have a large work load and deal with heavy cases. CEEP decided to assist with the painting of the offices Attached is feedback from the team “Assisting the youth centre was an uplifting experience and makes you realize one should appreciate what you have. CEEP was fairly organized and the materials were ready for us to paint, in future, if possible, we would suggest a wipe down of the walls the day before to improve the quality of the end result. A downside was the lack of time and what would probably be better is to spend a full day there during the week but that is more a constraint from our side. With shorter projects we would to rather not do a snack break during the session as it added pressure to the team whose goal was to get the job done. The talk by the home manager put into perspective the magnitude of the need and was very humbling. Even though we just came to paint a passage we left feeling like our small contribution could make a bigger difference to the work environment of people who do amazing work” CEEP would like to thank SAB and Forgood for assisting us to make a difference at the home
