More about BHCC - Hospital and Clinic Outreach
BHCC is a South African hospital and clinic based NGO founded in 1954. Our aim is to provide for the basic needs of patients lacking family support, to preserve dignity, maintain hygiene and speed up recovery times. We assist with nutrition for immune-compromised and severely malnourished outpatients (particularly HIV, TB and Cancer patients) and strive to maintain patient adherence to chronic treatment plans through our Bread for Life Initiative. We distribute toiletries, clothing, therapy aids, baby goods and blankets through our Hospital Necessity Programme. Our Transport Grants extend transport refunds to those without funds to attend clinic appointments and hospital checkups. We are an all volunteer charity working closely with social workers, therapists and medical staff and rely solely on donations to continue our monthly outreach.
