Backyard Farmers: A dynamic youth-led organization which focuses on agriculture and environmental stewardship. Our belief is that achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires active participation from all sectors of society, including townships, schools, and the broader community. Through our diverse programs, Backyard Farmers aims to nurture and inspire a generation that is both food-secure and environmentally conscious. “As we approach the halfway mark for the 2030 Agenda, the SDG Progress Report; Special Edition reveals that we are leaving more than half the world behind. Progress on over 50% of SDG targets remains weak and insufficient, with 30% showing stagnation or regression. These targets encompass critical areas such as poverty alleviation, hunger eradication, and climate action. Unless immediate action is taken, the 2030 Agenda risks becoming an epitaph for a world that missed its potential” AntOnio Guterres, UN Secretary General. It is imperative that we all prioritize clean environments and actively seek environmental knowledge.
