More about Anna Khasu Empowerment Centre
The Anna Khasu Empowerment Centre was founded with the aim to help children and youth from underprivileged communities through arts and culture initiatives. One such initiative is the Dance Expressionz program where we teach children contemporary and traditional dances free of charge. These dance skills teach them more than just dancing, it's learning how to express oneself artistically, giving them confidence and autonomy over their bodies. They also learn how to harness their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills and foster emotional development, amongst others. Another initiative by the Anna Khasu Empowerment Centre is the RunDry Raincoat Drive where we solicit donations from the community so that we can buy raincoats for young children who walk to and from school in the rain. Anna Khasu Empowerment Centre seeks to provide children and youth from marginalised communities exposure to opportunities they otherwise would not have, and help them deal with societal issues they face in their communities through arts and culture, as well as other forms of community development.
